Sheba Iranian Carpets

We have been buying beautiful carpets from Sheba Carpets for 4 years now and in total have bought 14, returning every year to add to the collection as we have been so pleased with our purchases. It all started on a rainy day in the UAE when we arrived at the Blue Souk, Sharjah, from Abu Dhabi unsure of which carpet shop to enter. The friendliest greeting came from Rashad Al Ghazali, who made us feel so welcome in his shop without pressurising us at all to actually buy anything. He is such an engaging and interesting man, who makes the whole process of buying a rug a pleasurable and educational experience, and he removes the pressure that can be felt in some shops. So that’s why we have kept returning to Rashad and Sheba Carpets, because he has been so very helpful sourcing the carpets we sought and sending photos over WhatsApp. Several of our friends have also bought carpets from him now, as they heard about our positive experience - he even brought a selection to Abu Dhabi to allow friends to choose 2 carpets in their own home. So Rashad has become a good friend and we look forward to our visits to his shop as a pleasure and a source of enduring good memories of our time living in the UAE. We have bought carpets in many places around the world, but by far the best experience has been with Rashad. Thank you!

I found Sheba Iranian Carpets Stores in the Blue Souk in Sharjah. I had been to a number of Stores prior to that and I have to say that Rashad is a true expert. He showed an assortment of rugs and explained to us the art of rug making and the origin of each piece.
The silk on silk were just out of this world. I ended up buying a small Qom rug 1 x 1.5 M and they adapted it to be used as a wall hanging. Along with this I bought a thick pile red wool Afghan rug for the living room where there is a lot of use.
I would highly recommend a visit to Rashad's store.

I highly recommended Sheba Iranian Carpets stores. I had been searching for the perfect handmade rug and this company showed up online. After reading all the positive recommendations I decided to give the owner a call and he sent on some photos of rugs I liked. Rashad took my details and I paid by card. This beautiful rug arrived five days later. It looks much more beautiful and vibrant than you could imagine. The quality is superior and it feels so warm now that winter is approaching. Because of all the restrictions with the pandemic a visit overseas to the shop would not be possible. Having the rug delivered from overseas is the way to go. Honest and trustworthy vendor and very reasonable prices. This rug would be double or treble the price in Ireland. Thanks Rashad.

Sheba are a fantastic carpet store and repairer/cleaning service. I’ve bought six carpets from them over the last eight years with amazing customer service. Visiting their store is a wonderful experience and they will even bring a selection to your home to allow you to see what they will look like in your space. I’ve also had my antique 1920’s Shiraz carpets cleaned and repaired by them. The new carpets I bought are wonderful and fit perfectly with our antique ones. The antique ones came back amazingly bright after cleaning and the repairs were invisible!

Had a great experience here at Sheba Iranian Carpets in Sharjah. This was my second time to visit this shop and it didn't disappoint. The owner went to great lengths explaining the technique involved in the making of the carpets, which can take many months, depending on the size of the knots per cm. The wool and/or silk used is dyed with natural products, is flame resistant and is chemical-free; good news for anybody with allergies.

I was visiting the United Arab Emirates with my family. We found Sheba Iranian Carpets stores online as there were excellent reviews about it. Rashad was very helpful and knowledgeable. He explained all about the different types of handmade carpets, and believe me there are many. We enjoyed having mint tea in the shop. After our purchase Rashad dropped us back at our hotel. I had such a great experience purchasing from this store. I went to visit the shop in person to check the carpets, but they made it even better bringing to my place a bunch of options of the size that I needed for my meditation space based on the colors of my preference. Extremely honest and knowledgeable staff. Opened and viewed carpets with me for a little over an hour. In the end, I bought a handmade 6' x 9' wool carpet I am very happy with. Would definitely recommend.

Jalal did an excellent job. He practically restored two carpets that were absolutely ruined due to a water damage. They had lost their original colours and were practically just pink. The colours are back plus he repaired one carpet with the utmost accuracy.

We bought our Iranian rugs back in 2015, and we love them! Rashad was amazing and incredibly knowledgable and helpful. He even invited us to an Iftar during Ramadan with another family, and everything was absolutely awesome. He was wonderful to do business with, and we still remember our encounter quite fondly. I have been going to the souq in Sharjah since the year 2000. It is one of my most favorite markets. In my mind the most difficult thing when buying a high price item and a product we are not terribly knowledgeable about is finding an honest seller. Not being misled is key. Rashad is knowledgeable and honest. I only wish I had met him sooner.

So I was with my dad in Dubai looking for a place to buy mainly all the carpets for our new apartment in Lisbon and after looking a few places I found Shaba, in this little nice souk. I was taken care amazingly by the owner, i had an amazing two days experience choosing carpets. We went over LOTs of carpets from Iran and Afghanistan. He also explained me about the hand made carpets, silk, cotton.etc. Most of the carpets I had to ship them to Lisbon, I few I took with me! They were shipped on Sunday and arrived on Monday in Lisbon! Couldn’t believe such of great service! I was impressed.
They have such of beautiful carpets! And prices were just right, after asking prices in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, the prices were great!
I could have stayed there looking and looking. I believe we spent at least 4 hours the first day and other 4-5 hours the day after. And even after wanted to buy some gold and the owner took us to a few places and bargained the price for us.

This was my third visit to Sheba Iranian Carpets and my second time making a purchase from here. Rashad has a good reputation and long-standing relationship with members of the expat community in Abu Dhabi. Rashad is a very welcoming, knowledgable and honest and happy to explain about the different qualities of carpet. The quality and range is great with something to suit every budget. You do not feel pressured to buy which I really appreciate.
This time I had brought my parents-in-law with me as they were visiting from Australia and they selected a very beautiful old Isfahan design from Iran. I selected a wool carpet from Afganistan and as I was unsure he allowed me to try the carpet in my home in Abu Dhabi before purchasing.

I lived in Dubai 20 years ago. Sheba Carpets was recommended by other expat Americans as the best place to buy beautiful carpets. My wife and I bought 6-8 beautiful carpets from Sheba then which we have enjoyed now for many years. On a recent vacation in Dubai we returned again to Sheba where we bought a beautiful Nain and two equally beautiful Afghan carpets. As 20 years before we were very pleased with the experience. When we checked in with Emirates for our return flight to the US we discovered that one carpet was 4 Kg over weight and Emirates refused to check. It was midnight, freight was closed, we escalated thru Emirates but were not successful. At that point out family was distraught. I couldn't think of anything to do so called Rashad. Amazingly he answered, said he would come to the airport in 30 minutes and collect the carpet and ship - which he did! Now that's Customer Service!

During a holiday to the United Arab Emirates. I decided I needed to buy a handmade carpet - that is one of the things a tourist to UAE must do. I had absolutely no idea of what to look for as it was my first time buying one of these works of art. After a look around the shops in Dubai, I took a friends advice and headed off to Sharjah. At the Blue Souk in Sharjah- which is also called the Central Market - Gold Souk or Souk al Markesi, there are many carpet shops. Most of the vendors or salesmen eagerly try to get you in to their shops. I wandered into a few shops and really loved all of the carpets. To make a long story short - I came upon Sheba Iranian carpets. Rashad must be one of the kindest most helpful people I ever met. He explained the history of rug making and there was s story behind each beautiful carpet. Opening all of these carpet took quite a while to do but Rashad really does his best to help the customer and educate them on the origin and history of each piece. Whilst I was enjoying some complimentary mint tea, I bought a gorgeous Afghan red carpet and I love seeing it in our sitting room. I hope to go back to get a Persian carpet on our next visit. I couldn't recommend Sheba Iranian Carpets enough and it is well worth a visit.

Called Rashad to say that I would be stopping off in Dubai for a couple of days on my way home from the far east. He very kindly picked me up from my hotel. Had an amazing experience at Rashad's shop. He is extremely knowledgeable and knows his stuff. Just when you think you've seen it all Rashad and his staff come out with a rug more beautiful than the last one. It is an Alladin's cave alright and I loved the mint tea. Rashad just couldn't do enough. Picked up a beautiful silk rug, which I will hang on the wall, and he kindly offered to ship the other one as my kg allowance wouldn't suffice. Looking forward to another trip there in the future for some more of those beautiful treasures.
