Uttam Restaurant is one of the oldest restaurants in Sharjah. It is well known for a variety of Parathas, Kachori. The best thing is that 100% pure vegetarian restaurant. And totally reasonable price of all the foods. They have unlimited Gujarati Thali in lunch and dinner time. In thali, you get 3 sabji, Dal, Rice, Salad, Buttermilk, and Snacks. Very good space for dining with 2 floors.
I went with very high expectation and enthusiasm, as my friends use to praise a lot about uttam so decided to go with my family. Oh God! The most unprofessional thing was the employees were so dirty that their uniforms were like they didn't wash from last one month.that was first bad impression then second is the employees were lethargic and we felt like they are doing favour on us, very bad.now third thing, we ordered idli wada n sambar, vada was like the people who dont dont to cook and they try it for the first time, that kind the vada was.and even idli was made of rava.not at all good.poori bhaji was ok ok, cant be praised at all for any thing.now the fourth one, we want to try puranpoli so we ordered one and that poorpoli was stale, it was stinking when we tried to break into pieces. So returned back.the waiter was giving us weired look when we told that the puranpoli was not good.i even told that waiter pls u have that puranpoli.and the last thing to say is that the waiter he brought the plate with left hand.though is right hand was free.it is disrespecting for the customers and Ma Laxmi.if i had the good experience in uttam surely i would have informed my other friends as well.but now no ways.this is first time i am giving the feedback about any restaurant in UAE.becos i haven't experienced such things.i want to say to owner, anyway I won't visit again and ur old customers wont stop coming also, may be ur service was initially good so the old costumers still coming.but try to change according to the peoples reviews. For ur and ur employees betterment. I will finally say to all friends pls dont visit this bakwas uttam to get bad experience.
Very tasty food. Owner is a good person, know him from decades. All staff is also good. They make fresh sweets. Festival time we feel we are not far from home.
Excellent Indian veg food - mouthwatering. Their Thali is really amazing. Prices are ridiculous. Do not be misled by the simple ambiance. It is Indian food at its best.try their deserts as well.
Tasty Vegeterian Gujarati Cuisine. Wide variety of Sweets are available during Diwali. We buy their special Ghugras / Karanjis from them every year during Diwali.
Terrible customer service and a 100% disrespectful behavior towards customers, food is an absolute delay.i would definitely not recommend this restaurant due to its poor customer service, if this comment is read by the management team or the owner i would highly recommend to recruit employees who would love to work dedicatedly, efficiently and a person that would have enough skills to respect customers
This is one restaurant where i go weekly & I feel like home. Affordable, Quality food with top most service. Try there weekly Tuesday unlimited thali if u are missing street food of India. This is not just a restaurant. Its a heritage of Sharjah.
Acceptable ambience, decent crowd, good food, great people, and even better service. Taste is mostly mild - as per their native culinary style. Chaat items are their signature foods, but their Thali meal (roti, 4 dishes, buttermilk, and pickles) would be the best bang for your buck - it's unlimited, cheap, quite nutritional, delicious and their staff would love you so much until you can't eat anymore. It's worth a visit, especially if you like Gujrati food.
Very good Poori bhaji and Jellabi. The have good spread of chats. But the staff needs some customer service training as they are very lazy and tho get speedy service is next to impossible
Wonderful gesture by the owner. Appriciate the entire team working at restaurants. Food quality awesome. Fresh, hygienic in budget. Specially all the FRESH indian variety food available which has been made by them instead of importing.
I would love to recommend this restaurant to all the people who are in Sharjah Must visit once and I assure you you will visit again and again.
A great place for vegetarians. The chat are very tasty and qualitative especially the pani puri, bhel, ragada, samosas, kachori and paav bhaji. They have a great option for unlimited buffet from Tuesday to Friday with different menus the food in buffet is also nicely prepared and most importantly its very economically priced. Strongly recommend for vegetarians.
Good taste but cleaning is not as per standard. The biggest problem is payment only by cash.
My bad experience here is one friday I visit with family but literally I don't take cash with me but fortunately my son got his pocket money so we manage to pay bill. But the management need to understand and accept credit card payments. I hope the restaurant is looking single customer whose bill not exceeds AED5 or10/-.
If you want to experience the authentic chaat, visit this place. Amazing pav bhaji, awesome misal pav and mouth watering pani puri. Even their dahi Puri is a real taste buster. Highly recommend to steer food lover. Not a wow type ambience but with taste you will indulge in whatever they serve.
It's a nice small corner restaurant With dedicated clientele. Serving Indian Street foods snacks etc. But the place is not clean and if you go to the buffet section the plates and dishes used for serving looks like antique.
One of the best veggie Indie restaurants. Luv their puribhaji and chai. Their sweets and chaats are too addictive. Very friendly staff. Extremely economical and catering to all walks of life. Luv this place for breakfast mostly. 100% recommend it to anyone.
