Barracuda Beach Resort

Thanks for the wonderful staycation. The place was quiet and nice. It was a well maintained place with clean pool. The room is simple, big enough for one family. Not much activities but relaxing. Polite staff and friendly. Thanks for accommodating us especially Angie for helping us and my family arrange our rooms quickly. 3star resort but it feels like 5star.

Rooms were ok. Good place for a quiet stay. Weekends the pool is crowded. Otherwise calm but not temperature controlled. A small jacuzzi is available temperature controlled.

The place is very serene and quiet. If you are looking for a short weekend getaway with your family, you can try this place.

However, the name of the resort says it's a beach resort but it's actually a beach VIEW resort. What you see in pictures is a lagoon. If you want to take your kids to the beach, you will need to find alternate places.

Food is highly overpriced and buffet was definitely not worth the price. It's better to carry your own and food delivery apps do deliver at this location. They have barbecue stations also.

The swimming pool is the sole attraction of the place. The play area is not well maintained.

To be on the sea with no possibility to swim. This is not hotel fault that sea smell there is so strongly bad.

The hotel is very nice and has an old-fashioned charm. It is very quiet, with spacious rooms, and boasts a fantastic Indian restaurant. The location also offers an intriguing costal area where you can discover fascinating sea creatures.

It is located in an area with a low sea level, making swimming in the sea difficult. However, the hotel compensates with a nice swimming pool for guests to enjoy

Still has poor cleaning services and extremely bad hygiene methods. Customer / room service and housekeeping staff are unfriendly

2022:
Awesome view and decorations of the rooms. However, cleaning was very bad. Towels and bed sheets were all dirty. They said its stubborn spots.however, if this is the case, they should not be used.
Very far from all the services.
Pool cleaning was very good.
The children's playing area is very ancient. No breakfast or food services.

Giving them 2 stars rather than 1 only because the price is good. Starting off from the receptionist when we arrived, no smile, no enthusiasm, seems like they put this lady there and forced her to work for free! They only have on restaurant which is basically an Indian restaurant that is trying to be an international restaurant.

So we ordered some seafood from a nearby restaurant and had them send it to us with a taxi driver. The security ws very rude to him and didn't allow him to enter the compound to hand us the food. I then speak to him and explain that it's just literally one minute to hand uas the food and he goes no that is not allowed for security reasons! I'm like what security reasons man it's a taxi driver, take his car number he just wants to hand me my food! I then had to call the reception which told me the same thing but then gave me an exception to allow him to enter! WOW! I am astonished at this level of appalling service!

We then call to order breakfast at 6: 30 AM but nope, breakfast only starts at 8 AM!

To make things even worse, the internet service htey prove is the slowest internet I've seen in my life! 4 MBPS speed for the entire compound! Even if I was to go to a third world country they would have faster internet! It's like we're back to the dial-up modem days where you enter a website, then go have a coffee break while it loads slowly.

Very good staff and I have personally benefitted from their Courteous behaviour. I forgot my spectacles and came back to Dubai. I called them and they confirmed it was safe. When I requested if it can be handed over to a friend in Sharjah if any of their staff was coming there, they responded positively and gave it in Sharjah. It was beyond their call of duty but they did that!

Very nice place for you wanna go to enjoy weekends. Comparatively cheap rate. Attractive rooms. Infinity pool beach in front.

It was nice place. Breakfast ok. Average.
Pool is nice. There is small hot jacuzzi.
Morning beach scenariy is beautiful.
If you swim in the after 7-8 pm, no towels are there. Because life guard is not there.

A bit crowded when we visited but for the price a must visit, recent refurbishment has helped. I remember this property from a while ago and they have certainly redeemed themselves. Rooms are huge and comfortable, the chalets are the clear winners x

Come for the beach views (stay for wide selection of bottles of 'sparkling' and fizzy stuff that's for sale in the compound)

Totally superb experience. No words to explain. If u wanna enjoy ur weekends, just choose this place. Never miss the nice swimming pool

We stayed for a day at this hotel. Lets begin with the facts

Rooms: Spacious, good interior, good view. Only thing that mattered was that the shower does not have enough force. Water just barely drizzles through it.

Pool and water front: pool area is spacious. There's also a small jacuzzi. And it has a private waterfront (do not mistake it with beach.

Food: Food is good value for the money paid. Though I'm sure guests visiting there have another agenda for "water with feelings". Breakfast was great.

All in all. Its is a good place to rewind.

The place has no access to the beach even though it is named ad beach resort.
The beach is not open to the public.
Morning Buffet was good
And only you have the access is to their pool!
You dont have to book a resort just to get access to pool! That you can even get it from hotels.
I didnt like their hospitality and didnt like the way how they treated the people and you cant even find a bath towel in rooms.
You have to ask them even for that!
Disappointed with the stay

Went here at night. Had to find our own table and push the staff to sanitize the tables, but it was a busy night so I wouldn't blame them.
We ordered chicken dum biryani which came In a mud pot. It was really tasty and we'll cooked and the serving just added to the taste of it!
Really satisfied with the experience.
Highly recommend.

Food was really good.
Just that the restaurant sitting area is filled with smokers. Would be great if they had a family room or non smoking cabin.
But overall. Enjoyed the drive and food.

Good for relaxation and a good family staycation. Facility includes children play area, swimming pool and outdoor play area.

It is okay for relaxing and to think. One thing i dont like is there is no beach access. You cannot swim in the beach and old. But the place is good for bbq gathering.

Beautiful place. The best part is you get a sea view garden space which is private and you can drink beers/Gin/ a neat peg of single malt (available in the beverage supermarket of the same group right next to the resort and are cheapest in whole of UAE) with friends/family. Nice food too.

Very amazing place and excellent service, the pool was so nice and clean, the services was very quick, though the food was expensive. Overall superb.

Nice quite place with basic facilities, could be upgraded to make it more fancy, but it's nice and value for money as it is.

The resort is located in a very quiet area couple kilometers away from RAK and Um Al Qwin, it has great facilities (cozy and very clean rooms) and the most kind and helpful staff. Its great for families and people who seek relaxation, we stayed almost 2 nights, everything was perfect (room service, delicious food and great pool). It was a great experience for me and my friends.

A perfect escape from city to Arabian Sea beaches with affordable yet non comprising environment. Staff are friendly and fully aware of respecting guest privacy. So quiet night that you forget the modern life behind. I’ll come again.

Good Place to have little bit Fun with Drink and Children’s Play Area is Also developed now so kids can enjoy. Furthermore if anyone likes plantation then there are shops who are selling household plants. In all, it a nice time to be spent with Family and Friends.

It is the best place in Umm Al Quwien for weekends or holidays affordable and beautiful. They have nice restaurants and kids play area. Amazing swimming pool free parking.safe and secure.there is a nice restaurant Biryani Junction which offers delicious food with lots of seating indoor and outdoor. They also offer alcohol drinks and billiards boards for fun if you like to play.

Nice place calm and quet. Went to Biriyani house there, it would have been nice if Biriyani was served hot. Other than that people were nice and friendly.

Nice place good rooms that are nice and spacious a little loud over weekends as people party at the pools and beach but luckily by 11 i have noticed that they get asked nicely to please end the party or quite down other than that nice restuarant and some shops close by

Biriyani Junction restaurant, inside Barracuda beach resort. Very nice ambience.delicious food.highly recommended place to visit during winter. Noon time would be better as it can get colder and windy during nights.

Such a shame there is no control on people playing loud music by the pool until the early hours of the morning, it was like sleeping next to a nightclub.
The room was lovely, spacious and clean, pool was really clean but very cold.

Great place for staycation with family and friends. Good for kids as they have a lot of space on their property to either play football, cricket or Volleyball and it's also located right next to Dreamland Water Park. Just 1 Hour drive from Dubai. The rooms were renovated a couple of years ago and are very clean and well maintained. The 2 bedroom suites can easily accommodate 4 adults and 2 kids. And they have an extra bed in the living room. All rooms overlook the pool. Ameer and Nigish at the reservation are very helpful.

مكان جميل ، به حوض سباحة عام، والشقق بين غرفة وغرفتين وصالة، تطل الشقق على البحيرة وعلى حوض السباحة ، لكن المطاعم بعيدة وقليل منها لديه توصيل، مشكلته عدم وجود مطبخ في السكن، وهناك ساحة خارجية بالقرب من الحوض يسمح فيها بالشواء، موجود المنتجع عل بوكينج دوت كوم، وعلى بعد أمتار منه توجد الحديقة المائية.

Had decided to spend 2 relaxing days, primarily by the pool. Upon arrival to my room I noticed much rubbish, (food wrappings, general paper litter) scattered around the vicinity. The room was quite nice. Upon reaching the pool I immediately discovered many empty beer cans, empty cigarette packets, used towels and again, food wrappings left under (most) of the trees. The place was messy! I immediately left and drove to the nearest public beach (15kms away). Figuring said mess had been now been attended to, I again decided to try out the pool. It was worst. There were now countless empty beer cans (some floating in the pool!), food stuffs and discarded towels strewn all about. The pool water was opaque in color and what should have been a beautiful, idyllic swim was again ruined by the lack of general cleanliness especially in these times. A call was made to the front office and once again had to take the long drive to the beach. Very disappointed.

Awesome place to take a break and to Relax.good service provided, rooms were neat. We were not allowed to enter beach due to some restrictions. All types of alcohol available near resort, Pool also available and the view from the pool to beach ️. Studio rooms are near to pool and villas are near to beach. We can prepare barbeque outside the room. There was some delay in restaurant for our breakfast due to limitations of manpower during post covid days, I suggest to go during winter months to enjoy more.

The receptionist specially the filipina is very rude. She should help us but the way she speak shes the one even mad than us. She don’t know how to explain calmly. She even give wrong information thru phone call. The swimming pool is already green from the molds and they switch off all the lights around 9pm literally all the lights outdoor and you cant even see the people walking around the hotel. Atleast give us some light to see the surrounding.

Stay is good, resort is beautiful. But the service in Aquarius restaurant has spoiled this review. I wanted to give a good rating but cause if them I'm dis satisfied.the restaurant has 3rd class service. You have to sit for more than 20mins for someone to just take your order the order andthen post that the whole process is slow. Food is below average.

I was here on a vacation with my family. I enjoyed a lot in this resort as it was great value to my money. The hospitality was awesome. The trip was under my budget even! Will definitely be visiting again.

The room is spacious and recently renovated. Comfortable bed, good shower. Downfall is the beautiful.pool bar not operational, pretty on pictures but no service. Room service is fine depends on what you order and who answer the phone. Team friendly and helpful.

Quite a great place for a break while taking a break. The beach was not accessible but the view was great. Felt the pool more than made up for it, and the super helpful staff made for a great experience for my stay.

Excellent place for weekend with family. Their swimming pool is very big and beautiful. Their rooms are very clean and modern. Their room service is spot on. Even meals are very delicious. Employees are very polite and helpful. I would definitely go there again.

Comfortable rooms, thus 3 stars, but breakfast was unacceptable. Everything was cold, even freshly brought out omelette, coffee below average and restaurant area smelled like fried food, very poor ventilation! On the flip side, one of the best liquor stores we've seen in a while!

I recommend at least once in a lifetime you visit. The place is awesome, and the views are magical. The rooms are super clean and spacious as well.

I give it a 2 stars because of lack of public toilet in the premises. We were just there celebrating with a big group of people (almost 150) and all the 3 public toilet (one in the restaurant area, one in the main reception and another one in the pool area - both of which are about 75m from the restaurant) for men only has 1 cubicle each and are very poorly maintained.

السلام عليكم. المكان حلو و نظيف و الغرف كبيرة و مرتبه و حوض سباحه جيد جدا و هناك مراقب. لكن ينقص المكان مطبخ و طاولة للكوي. مكان الشوي بعيد عن الغرف. يمتاز المكان بالهدوء و راحه للعوائل.

This is the place for real beach side restaurant lovers. Amazing location, wide variety of drinks to choose from, good ambience inside and sea view outside and especially quality of food is really amazing. Over all a good place to hang out with family and friends.

Very calm and serene resort, which is very far away from the noises of the city. Also the restaurant and wine shop is very good. The rooms are neat and clean also very spacious. The swimming pool is also big enough for a swim. Kids can enjoy too since they also have a playing area.

This is wonderful place for spending your time with family and group of friends. Staff and service also good. Here you can have more options of enjoy as like big swimming pool, sea, spaces for playing games and food was so delicious. I like so much there fully in Indian style. My favourite Rajasthani kadhi I was got there. Really nice place.

The place is very Nice! But unfortunatly the pool is constantly playing loud rave music from 16.00 - 23.00. Very annoying, the person in charge for the music playlist should not be allowed to be in charge of music.

Barracuda has an amazing variety from around the World.

They have great Whisky section with Whiskies we have struggled to find any where else.

The prices are VERY reasonable!

The drive there is very scenic passing through the red sand dunes.

I highly recommend making a day of it and going to the restaurant at the same location. Best pizzas around!

They do fake advertising of they facilities like the games room and the jacuzzi, no lifeguard on duty and no towels for the swimming pool, swimming pool had very hot water, room was very good, good dinning and good staff

Was invited to a friends bday party here for a stay cation, He had booked the whole villa and it was worth the amount spend - it is not easy to gather 20 people together at the same place to pull a all nighter - The food and service was great although no-one slept before morning. The Sunrise from this place looks amazing so is its pool. The pictures attached says it all.

Great location. Don't expect Dubai or Abu Dhabi style of service, spacious rooms but the place is a little bit in the past.

Best place to spend your weekend overnight at this resort. Area is huge, quiet away from city buzz, with swimming pool and beach. This place is really recommended for a large grp of family and friends. Food can be brought in or you can order from your room. Parking is ample. Staff are really good and polite, helpful. Recommended for weekends get away.

Nice ambience.the food at the restaurant aquarius was delicious.nice setting of the pool facing the lagoon. Its not a beach resort as the name suggest.there is a liquor shop and a retail shop. If you want to go outside there are no restaurants or shops other than an outlet of Zoom in an perimeter of around 5kms.

This is an awesome place for a beach staycation! Definitely go as a group cause otherwise there arent many things to do. The swimming pool is amazing, though not too deep or too huge, the vibe just gets everyone going, they do give pool balls on request, and play your music if you give your mobile. The more, the merrier. The dinner and breakfast was extremely good and just perfect. It fit the Indian taste palette perfectly and overall was a trip to remmeber!
