Embarking on a scenic one-hour drive, I discovered a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the island. Despite a weekend crowd, my anticipation grew during an additional hour of waiting to enter the restaurant, followed by another hour for my meal.

However, the three-hour wait transformed into a memorable experience when I ventured towards the dock by the charming chalets. There, I encountered a delightful and helpful staff member, possibly named Neha or Nehi. Not only did she capture an amazing photo, but she also shared enchanting tales of Mikoko Place and highlighted the allure of the chalets, perfect for couples.

It's the blend of informative insights, engaging storytelling, and a personal touch that truly set this experience apart. A heartfelt thank you to Neha (or Nehi) for elevating my visit. I eagerly anticipate the day I can book and relive this enchanting encounter. Grateful for the exceptional experience!

Hidden gems of UAE, this place is magical surrounded by nature, birds, mangroves, with a beautiful bungalows, the atmosphere is so relax and calm.

But customer service wasn’t great, I highly value customer service over the view and food was average.

First Adha Aid i called them at 11: 00 PM they told me they are working till 2: 00 AM
After i reached at 11: 45 PM they informed me they cant take order because at 12: 00 AM will close

Mikoko sounds like a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some Italian cuisine with a pleasant view. It's always great to find restaurants with friendly and accommodating staff who make the dining experience even more enjoyable. I'm sure Pineda, Von, Said, and Gerabbe appreciate the shout-out! If I ever get the chance to visit Mikoko, I'll be sure to check it out.

It is a nice place to visit, made in African Zanzibar style. You can order directly trough a phone via an App. The food is amazing. The location is okay, directly at the mangroves.

Only little dislike was the washroom, a bit dirty and not what I was used to from UAE - but maybe it's that African touch there.

It's a beautiful hidden gem in UAE at Umm Al Quin. I have participated with my paintings there in the second edition of ART UAQ, and I really loved the place, the architecture, the kayaking experience there, the view of mangroves, and the food there. It takes to another world; as you travel out of UAE to an island with least budget and least effort. Good luck for the whole team & Management, and for more expansion & success to come in future EnshaAllah.

Stunning place for a lunch. 1 star for the view and location but the rest you need to forget ASAP. Very bad service and follow up on orders. Why do you have to wait 40 minutes for a salad? No communication with anyone was possible during our visit. Again, great location, but please do not run a restaurant if you don't know how to do it!

The staff seem lost when they deliver the order and they ask each table, did you order this? This is not professional. The coffee arrived 20 minutes before the food. The food was cold at a total wait of 40 minutes. The coffee should arrive with the food unless customer states to be brought before the food. I hope my points are going to help the owner and the team to provide better services in the future. Thank you all. New Edit (27 Nov 2022), there a lot of improvement and the management has done a great job to fix all the issues, the food is served faster and better, Thank you for your effort and having this amazing place

Worst ever experience. We keep coming here and we publish our picture to advertise them as much as possible. Now today we want to do a few picture for a friends wedding and they ask me 100 dhs to take a few picture inside. Seems they don’t want publicity. I believe I will go somewhere else for my romantic diner or coffee time. 12 people less having diner here. Sorry

Great place, full of energy. I visited the place with the family and we had a blast. Great to also be assisted with the mysterious coffee barista Alang. He speaks French and we felt even more welcome having someone to speak French with.

The place is amazing with great staffs. They made us have a beautiful experience. Along the barista is an expert at his thing. Loved the coffee. The only reason why I am not giving a 5 star is because of the food menu. For a tanzanian restaurant, I was expecting an african menu or at least a great variety. Other than that amazing place

If you want to go somewhere magical! This is the place, you want amazing food? An awesome pizza i have to say! And the raspberry mojito made me blush with how my taste buds were happy, this is a 10/10 if not more? An amazing place to relax and get that mangrove - sea and even has some exciting things goingg on for more time to stay there gotta love thier coffee honestly i dream of this place alot of the times calm and serenity plus adventuring on kayaks and SUP is an option

Disappointing! This place has so much potential.unfortunately it's let down by its lacklustre staff, who were inattentive and appeared disinterested in serving customers. It seemed more like a clubhouse for employees, made moreso by the fact that they outnumbered customers. It was no wonder that much of the menu was unavailable.at any rate, the prices were too high for such a place.
It was frustrating because the location was great.and it could be so much more. Nice building and a fun drive down the packed-sand road (60 dhs minimum spend in Mikoko, or you'll be charged you the privilege for using it).
Overall, go have a look, but don't expect too much from the staff.

Ambience was really good, so was the pepperoni pizza but 3 star for the the drinks fail.but the Pina colada and mojito were the worst I've had in Dubai. My mocktails are important for me, so it left a bad impression

Hidden gem! This place does not look or feel like UAE. It’s peaceful and green; the staff quick and attentive and the food is good. You pay more but it is well worth it thanks to the fantastic surrounding. You can order all food and drinks through the browser and pay with Apple Pay and they deliver it right to the table. Gone are the days when you got desperate with the local waiters

Wonderful cafe with variety of options to drink and eat (desserts). Wonderfully built, quiet, beautiful, serene, nestled between green mangroves! Prior reservation must on weekends and they do celebration setups at short notices as well (obviously) on weekdays.

We love the spot. I guess everyone does! Such cool place, nice atmosphere, so chilled, comfy sofas overlooking the mangrove and nice tasty food. View gets even better from upper floor. We also took 1 hour caique to explore the surroundings and there's also a bike track. Easy access, last part of road is unpaved but any car can make it. Free parking and pic nice area available.

I just love the ambience and the proximity to nature. Staff are friendly and nice. Food is so so. But the place is really relaxing. A perfect place for destressing before going back for another bout of warzone at work…?

Great simple venue, pity the food was cold and unseasoned, and not a big choice except for cakes and juices. Not impressed by the service either, which was less attentive than it should be.expect dubai prices, not uaq rates (28 dhs for a coffee). It probably will get better as it gets more established, its getting there.

Lovely place and one of its kind in uae. Went on a weekend and booked the table in advance. They were a lot of tables available. You don’t have to pay entry to the beach if you spend more than 40dhs at the restaurant. Food was surprisingly nice but small portions. Drinks were good and service was point. You have nice beautiful views of mangroves and option to sit upstairs too. They have sheesha as well. I saw some families doing their own picnics too and I believe you can also do water sports / activities. Will definitely recommend if you need a break from fancy hotels and bars.

The place is on Mangrove beach so a perfect spot to enjoy a relaxing day at the beach or even just enjoy good food and drinks with a nice sea view. Loved the mangrove views. You can also do water activities such as kayak closeby.
The concept is very nice with its interior well designed with natural handmade aesthetics.

Beautiful and tranquil place. Very chill atmosphere and something different than you're used to. In a good way. I recommend going when the weather is pleasant. But eitherway it was well shaded and the wind was blowing straight through to views of beautiful mangrove trees and nature. Service was very good!

An idyllic spot to pause and enjoy beautiful scenery. The food we had was delicious and came much faster than the 30 mins we were told. The staff were so friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and hope to return soon.
